Beverly Marie Helm

Beverly Helm, 84, of Pinconning. Our beautiful, kind, good-hearted, thoughtful, loving, and patient mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away January 06, 2023 surrounded by her family. Beverly was born November 17, 1938 and was one of the oldest children in her family. Beverly loved her family, and raised many generations of children. She devoted her life to help, protect and nurture everyone she met. Beverly enjoyed crosswords, puzzles, writing poems, cooking/baking, listening/ singing to old country music, gardening, drawing, and having company around her kitchen table. In her spare time, she loved to play solitaire, work on genealogy, watch true crime TV and put puzzles together. While with family and friends, she was known for making sure everyone was fed, and had something to eat. Beverly was THE person you would go to for comfort. She was always there for advice, a hug, or a good lesson. Beverly was not only one of the best listeners, but also one of the people to go to if you needed advice. Beverly was strong minded, was head strong and had THE BEST heart! Beverly was the person you could depend on, and would give you the shirt off her back. Beverly is survived by her two children: Tamara (Tim) Gillam and Charles Helm. Beverly had four grandchildren: Sarah (Jason) Finny, Kiana (Brandon) Carrasco, Audrey Gillam, and Adriana (Andrew) Phillips, and four great grandchildren Max, Breyona, Brynn, and Amiyah.

As asked by my grandmother:

“On my funeral card”

When I come to the end of the day and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in the gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not to long and not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love we once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this is the journey we all must take and each must go alone.

It’s all part of the maker’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrow in doing good deeds- miss me, but let me go.
