God knew when he placed McKayla in our family; she would be well taken care of. We are extremely grateful to have been chosen to be her parents even if it was only for 10 years. We thank God for her many blessings and our family and friends for their unconditional love, prayers, and support, especially during our loss.
McKayla grew to be so happy, full of life and such a joy! If it wasn't for the "zipper" scar down her chest, you would never know what her little body had been through. People were amazed when they learned about her heart defect. Her heart journey had been incredibly difficult at times and at others, a tremendous blessing.
