Mother in law to Nabil, Alex, Saline, & George.
Grandmother to Chloe, Claudia, Rachel, Georgio, Christiane, Joe, Rebecca, Elissa, Isaiah, Rafaela & Charbel.

Rafca was born on the 5th December 1948 in Lebanon to Choukrallah and Wassile Sassine. The oldest of 4 children Brothers Hanna, Antoun and sister Antoinette.

After her valiant and brave fight with Bowel Cancer Rafca's battle with Cancer took a turn for the worst in May 2015. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through months of grueling Chemotherapy. Yet even throughout her own struggle with Cancer, she reached out to others affected by the horrendous disease by comforting others sitting nearby receiving their chemo treatments simultaneously and making friends with the nurses.

Known for her ease infrequent conversations with total strangers, she always possessed a contagious smile and entertaining sense of humor. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around will never be forgotten.
A woman of faith and the heart of the Sassine family, Rafca shaped her spirituality by her tireless Catholic faith with hosting annual prayer nights in the Month of May. Inviting all her family and friends to pray as one and to eat together as one big family.

With a real zest for life Rafca loved to dance, sing, cook. pray and especially play with her grandchildren, She loved a good chat with friends and family, she loved to go out shopping & lunches, loved wearing her coats and her big handbags just to name a few.

We thank you for the joy and love our loved one has brought. Thank you for the lessons they taught us and the legacy they have left behind. We thank you Lord for the memories we shared with them, we pray we hold those memories as a source of comfort and joy.
