Brianna Ailene Pierson, age 31, the daughter of Kevin Lee and Michelle Susan (Broich) Durrow, was born February 29, 1992, at Ames, Iowa. She was taken from this life on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, due to a two vehicle accident on Highway 69 north of Leon, Iowa.
Brianna grew up and attended school in Leon, Iowa. As a teenager, Brianna gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized. She graduated from Central Decatur High School with the Class of 2010. She started her college education at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa then transferred to Southwestern Community College satellite center in Osceola, Iowa. While earning her associate degree in early childhood education she worked in daycare at the Village in Osceola. She took on-line classes through Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa for a degree in human services and psychology while working as a para-educator at Central Decatur South Elementary for two years.
Following her college graduation, Brianna worked at the Mental Health Access Center in Osceola. She was currently employed by Children and Families in Osceola as a social worker helping reunify families. She had a unique gift that enabled her to do her specialized job well.
In August of 2015, Brianna was united in marriage to William Ray Pierson. They were blessed with, son Braxton, and daughter, Adley. Brianna and Will later divorced.
Being with her children and family was the most important part of her day to Brianna. She loved spending time with her kids and Gram and Gramps on the farm. She also loved helping others whenever she could, in any way she could. Listening to music and being on Snapchat/TicToc was very relaxing to her. She had a new favorite song every week.
Preceding her in death were her great grandparents, Ida & Virgil Broich, Raymond & Barbara Thelen, and Paul & Ailene Eads; grandfather, Conn Huett; and cousin, Brandon Broich. Survivors include her children, Braxton Pierson and Adley Pierson of Leon, Iowa; parents, Kevin and Shelley Durrow of Leon; brother, Bryson Durrow and wife, Samantha of Lamoni, Iowa; nieces, Brinsley and Bristol Durrow; grandparents, Larry and Phyllis Broich and Ruth Huett, all of Leon; aunts and uncles, Scott & Connie Broich, Brian & Dixie Broich, Mike & Becky Broich, and Trish & Jeff DeVore; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
