Life story

Mary Modena Weaver was born at Phenix City Community Hospital in Pehnix City, Alabama on 8/13/1938. She had an older sister, Patsy and a younger brother, Nelson. She married Bobby Kelly on 10/13/1956. They had two daughters (Donita and Beth) before divorcing. She met Timothy Eugene Hooley in 1961 and they were married on 2/11/1962. They had three children (Patrick, Laura and Daniel) and Tim formally adopted Donita and Beth. They were married for 28 years before Tim passed suddenly on 2/24/1990 at the age of 49. Modena never met a stranger and was likely to tell you "I love you, darling'" after knowing you for less than 10 minutes. She was a mom, aunt, grandma and great grandma to everyone she met and if there was a baby in the room, she was sure to be holding it! Modena passed away on 7/11/2015 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
