Paul Reekie

Paul Reekie was a beloved South Florida pianist and music director who played for numerous local theatres including Palm Beach Dramaworks, MNM Theatre Company, and The Wick Theatre, as well as various local college and university productions. He was also a dear friend to many people in South Florida and around the country - artists and non-artists alike. Paul passed away suddenly due to an accident at home. He was 48 years old. He is greatly missed but continues to live on in our hearts and memories.

As you sit here on Paul's bench, note the Royal Poinciana Tree directly across the lake which was planted in honor of Paul. It grows at the apex of four palm trees that form a chevron toward the water's edge as if he were conducting a pit orchestra...his favorite place to be. When it blooms every late spring and early summer, it will continue to add beauty to the world in Paul's memory.
