Life story

Ian was born at the Albert Lea hospital on August 02, 2004 to Andrew, Nicole (Walton) and big brother Tyler. He came home to live in Northwood shortly thereafter. He was 15 months younger than Tyler so they ranged from thick as thieves to fighting like cats and dogs. Ian had a cat Toby that he loved until Toby passed, he also had a dog Jackson that misses him. During Ian’s life he loss his Great Grandfather Don Farrell, his Grandmother Bobbi Husske and his Aunt Allison Beck. Ian went to school at Northwood Kensett where he has a small tight knit group of friends. Ian enjoyed sports but due to frequent migraines, he didn’t get to play them as much as he wanted. When Ian was little, he was a mama’s boy, but one day he switched to be much more like his father. Ian was a kind, but super sarcastic kid. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Ian enjoyed spending time at the First Lutheran Church youth room. In school he learned to play the baritone and then the tuba. Ian loved music and was teaching himself to play bass guitar. Ian enjoyed shooting trap with his dad and others. On October 16, 2020 Ian lost his fight with depression, he had kept his struggles from his family and friends. In Ian’s last Snapchat story, he expressed his hope that others would ask for the help that he hadn’t. Ian is missed greatly and his family and friends keep his memory going by sharing the wonderful memories we have.
