my beautiful grandmother

not a single day goes by that i don’t think of you, i miss you more than i have ever missed anyone in my life. i wish you could’ve been here to see all of the accomplishments i have made but i know that you’re watching down over me and proud of me for the things that i have done. i just wish you were here to see me accomplish them. you are and always will be one of the sweetest people i have ever met, you always did everything for everyone instead of doing things for you. i miss being over at your house with pap and just talking while you cooked because that’s what you always loved to do and you were absolutely amazing at it. i miss your cooking, but not even as close to as much as i miss you. i hope heaven is just as beautiful as you are. i love you forever and always 💕

🌵 𝙷𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚢 𝙼𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛’𝚜 𝙳𝚊𝚢 𝙶𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚖𝚢 🌻

There are not enough words to explain what you did for me when I was young and in need of a mom, but I’ll try and express what it means to me. After raising your children you still decided to sacrifice everything and take me in and raise me as your own. From crazy mornings watching the little mermaid cartoon on Disney channel, yelling at you for ruffeling my socks wrong to being over dramatic while you brushed my hair, you were always there. Reading my accelerated reader books to you in the dining room while you made dinner was the best. And when the nightmares would become too real I would run over to your room, you would set me up the coolest bed on the floor and hold my hand until I was back asleep. You protected me then and continue to now as my guardian angel. Not only were you my Grammy, you were my best friend and best mom in the world. There is no doubt you loved me with your entire heart. The memories we made together were some of the best and I will never forget them and continue to tell our stories till it’s my last day. You’re my soulmate Grammy and I love you so much, more than you could ever imagine. I hope you have a wonderful day in heaven with your mom and I’ll celebrate you down here on earth. xoxo your baby, Lindsey Sloane 💛

Happy Early Mother’s Day Grammy

Today Kendall and I hung your Mother’s Day flag that the family signed for you last year. It’s so beautiful today and I can just imagine being a kid living at home with you and the breeze blowing through the kitchen window above the sink and watching the curtains blow. It’s a breath of fresh air knowing I still can feel you all around me. I love you more and miss you something fierce.
