Life story
Dustin was from Rutherford County, son of Rex Edgerton and the late Rosa Brackett Edgerton. Brother of Brandy Edgerton Roberts, Jaman Edgerton, and Tiffany Austin. Nephew of Myrtle Brackett Freeman
Beloved father of Alivia, Aylizabeth, and Henry.
Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Darl and Marie Brackett, and his paternal grandmother, Annie Hooper Whiteside.
Dustin was a hard worker. He loved his family, and his kids. He loved riding his motorcycle and enjoyed spending time working on vehicles. He worked many jobs throughout the years, including mechanic work, towing cars, and driving trucks. Dustin was always willing to help anyone he could.
In 2022 Dustin was diagnosed with cancer. He didn’t let it slow him down, he fought a brave battle for many months. Dustin passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 7, 2023. Not a day goes by that he isn’t remembered, loved, and missed.

Uncle Dustin
Everyone knows that Dustin loved motorcycles. The shirt that Rosa is wearing in this picture belonged to Alivia when she was little. I have no doubt that he would have been able he would have had Rosa on a motorcycle too.
