Jonathan Clark Miner
“May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.“
Jonathan Clark Miner, born May 8, 1991 at Fayette Memorial Hospital in Washington Court House, Ohio to Jay L. and Teresa J Miner. Weighing 7 lb 1 oz and 21 inches long. Jonathan had a brother, Jayson Miner. Jonathan was a happy baby and slept overnight quickly. Always loving and liked to snuggle. He particularly enjoyed sleeping with his Momma.
Jonathan‘s immediate family included grandparents: Jerry and Jean Ward, Philip and Kay Miner; Aunt, Melaney McCabe and Uncle Jeff McCabe; Uncle Jim Miner; Cousins: Morgan & Fred McCluskey and Logan Bennett Miner.

Jonathan loved spending time with his family. Loved playing outdoors. Loved to go swimming. Jonathan was a member of 4-H. He particularly enjoyed camping at the Ross county fair with his grandparents the Miner’s. He and his friends would enjoy card games in the camper at the fair with grandma Miner. I’m sure a lot of Mountain Dew was drank also!
Jonathan attended Adena schools in Frankfort, Ohio until 10th grade and then attended and finished his schooling at Chillicothe High School.
Jonathan was very excited to get his drivers license. His first car was a maroon Dodge Neon of which he took much pride in. Jon had many friends that he would always have over at the house and often times would spend the night. Jonathan loved to look good in appearance and delighted in nice clothes, nice shoes, nice coats, and good smelling cologne. He also was very particular about his hair how it was cut. some friends would probably agree that he was short on patience a lot of times but never short on caring for others. Jon enjoyed his friends and wouldn’t miss a wedding or baby shower that he was invited to. Many of Jon’s friends had children of which Jon quickly accepted as his family, and they all referred to him as Uncle Jon or Uncle Jonny. It was not unusual for him to have a car seat in his backseat, and would take a child with him somewhere, especially if it was little Ava.
Jon also enjoyed traveling. Each year he would enjoy family vacations to Tennessee. He also went with his aunt Mel and uncle Jeff and Morgan on vacations. Also such as the trip to Niagara Falls, Washington DC. So many wonderful family memories were made. One of Jon’s favorite places was Arizona. He lived in Arizona for a short time with his Momma and enjoyed the culture and scenery, Arizona boast of. On one trip he even went over to California was his Momma and was able to go to Hollywood and enjoy a tour that he wanted to do. Jon loved the desert and the cactus, but also loved the ocean. In Jon's short life, he was fortunate enough to become very wise and realized what really mattered in life and lived life to the fullest loving what he did and loving everyone he met. Jon certainly had a heart of gold for others. He loved the children, but he also loved people of all ages. He was particularly close to both of his grandmothers. He was also close to an employer of his, Yvonne Hooks. He and Yvonne spent many times together, talks, going for lunch, just quality time. Jon had many best friends: Kelsey, Glenda, Chelsea, These three young ladies grew up with Jon and always remained the best of friends. There are many other friends that were near and dear to him and they each know who they are.
Jon mainly worked in the food sector and particularly enjoyed giving great customer service to his customers. He also attended Columbus State College.
Jon had a technical interest from a young age. He was always intrigued and excited to have a new cell phone. Jon truly knew what mattered in life. His family, his friends, and God. May all who had the pleasure of knowing him, always remember him with a smile, and know how much he loved each and everyone of you.
