Life story

Tam and Goldie shared a lifetime of a love that most will never have the blessing of knowing. They were the best of partners and loved their family eternally.

Their story began when Goldie, with unwavering patience, awaited Tam's return from war, eager to commence their shared life. Together, they weathered numerous hardships with faith, humility, and an unyielding love for their family.

Throughout the ups and downs, Tam and Goldie's genuine, charismatic nature shone through, as they cherished their children, Sue, Janie and Jerrold, grandchildren, Matt, Kendra, Misty, Justin, Megan and Molly, and great-grandchildren, Connor, Simon and Keaton, and anyone else who crossed their path.

Known for their humor and love of pranks, they embodied kindness and goodness, but with a little mischief on the side. Goldie's kitchen was a haven where she found joy in feeding everyone she could, especially with her renowned biscuits. Tam, the friendly handyman, frequented the local cafe, his slightly cocked hat a familiar sight.

Their faith, a beacon through life's trials, found pure happiness in the joy of Christmas - a time filled with family, food, and the excitement of gift-giving, where Tam couldn't resist allowing early peeks into gift boxes.

Tam and Goldie, with pure hearts and a profound love for life, have left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know them. Tam, a resilient spirit, faced illness with unwavering determination, fighting valiantly until his passing, years before Goldie. Jerrold, their devoted son, became Goldie's steadfast caregiver until her peaceful passing.

Tam and Goldie’s enduring connection and profound love labeled them true soulmates, having spent the majority of their lives side by side. Their absence is deeply felt, but the memory of their genuine love will live on until the day we reunite with them in eternity.
