Life story

David L. Montgomery, age 61, of North Ridgeville, went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2020.

He was a 1977 graduate of West Tech High School and retired from Ford Motor Company after 26 years.

The man, the myth, the legend, David was always the life of the party and was always singing and joking with family and friends. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, especially his Tribe. He also loved working the daily Jumble puzzle and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was generous and loving to all he knew.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Yvonne (nee Miller) Montgomery, children, Carrie (Doug) Marshall, Jon (Cherie) Montgomery, Adam (Stephanie) Montgomery, Kristy (Ryan) Schroeder, Daniel (Kayla) Montgomery, Ashley Montgomery, Jordan Montgomery, 11 grandchildren, father, Roger Montgomery, sister, Lisa Daniel, several nieces and nephews and his beloved companion, Bear.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (nee Daniels) Montgomery and sister, Sherry (Marty) Driscoll.

Miss You

Dave- Not a day goes by that you are not on our mind. I miss your silly stories, endless singing, trvia, name that song, and the fact you can light up any room you walk in. I would love going back to your house after school and just sit and talk about literally everything. You have left such a mark on everyone you have come to know. I hope you know how truly loved and missed you are. I wish you could see how big the grandkids are getting and how they are all thriving in school and sports. You would be so proud. We are lucky to have an amazing guardian angel watching over us. Until we meet again, I love and miss you so much!
