Ryan O. Aguirre
Ryan Oliver Aguirre was born on October 7, 2004, at UC Davis in Sacramento, California and passed away on November 27, 2022, at the age of 18 from a fatal car accident caused by an intoxicated driver. Ryan was born to Steven Aguirre II and Kara Chapin (Aguirre). He was also loved by his stepparents, Laura (Goulding) Aguirre and Christopher Smith. He was the older brother to Kade Smith and Evelyn Aguirre. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Ryan attended Kindergarten at Sunrise Elementary followed by grade school at Feickert Elementary in Elk Grove, CA. Ryan encountered tragedy at the age of 8 when he suffered from multiple massive strokes due to Bow Hunters Syndrome. His story of determination and healing has brought help, hope, and inspiration to others. Ryan attended junior high school at Pinkerton Middle School followed by Elk Grove High School where he was an active council member of the Technical Digital Arts Academy (TDA). He proudly graduated from Elk Grove High School in May of 2022.
Upon graduation, Ryan was hired by Pavilion Carwash Quick Lube and Detail Center and was working towards becoming a supervisor. He also had an interest in trade school for welding as well as opening up his own car detailing business. Ryan loved his ’98 Honda Civic and would spend a countless amount of time cleaning and polishing it, as well as making upgrades to it like new rims and tires to truly make it his own. Ryan had spent years learning tricks on his Kendama and scooter. For the past few years, however, he was into skateboarding like his dad was at his age. Skateboarding gave Ryan the sense of freedom to ride around his neighborhood of River Park in East Sacramento and listen to music and use it as a time to think; as well as stop in and visit with family and friends if they were home as he passed by. He would constantly practice new tricks, not giving up until he had made some progress or succeeded completely. He enjoyed playing video games, especially online with his cousin in Oklahoma, “hang” with his friends, watch the sunset, run in the ocean’s waves, eat anything and everything, especially things that were super spicy and just plain odd, just to say he ate it, and he LOVED to vacation with his family. Some of his favorite places he traveled to were the family cabin in Lake Tahoe, Southern California where he would visit his dad's side of the family, Santa Cruz, Dillon Beach, as well as New York City, Hawaii, Arizona, and Florida. He looked forward to going to any amusement park where tickets were obtainable. Ryan loved a good rollercoaster, even if he had to wait in lengthy lines to experience them.
Ryan will be remembered for his quiet and gentle demeanor, his innocence, his open heart, his ability to love and his determination to never give up. His light shined to all who knew him. He had great love for his entire family and the countless number of friends in all aspects of his life. His impact on this world, even for such a short time that he was here, was more than he could ever have expected. He was loved by so many, in so many different capacities. He was truly an angel that was taken from us all, far too soon.
