Make Every Day The Best Day Ever! - David Turner Jr.
David Jr loved to travel and go on adventures. He visited all 50 states, 5 countries and 2 continents. He loved going to National Parks, theme parks to ride roller coasters and the beach to build sandcastles and look for seashells.
He was a Cub Scout and achieved the rank of Webelos One, he enjoyed archery, whittling, telling stories around the camp out fire, shooting at the rifle range, the pinewood derby and most of the Lego derby.
David loved to build Lego, his own creations and sets, playing Pokémon go, his Nintendo switch, superheroes, Power Rangers.
He wanted to be an artist when he grew up. He loved creating art of all kinds and covered the house with his artwork.
He became a childhood cancer advocate after being diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) at the age of 6. He met 2 KY Governors, and made multiple trips to Frankfort, KY to meet with legislators and other officials to share his story and catch phrase - Make Every Day The Best Day Ever! - Is the message he shared with the world.
David Jr is honored on May 21st of each year since his death with a KY proclamation - David Turner Jr Ice Cream Day. When he met Governor Beshear he proclaimed it National Ice Cream Day; in his memory and honor the Governor recognizes David Jr on the anniversary of his death each year.

Diagnosis Day Anniversary 4/17/24
On Sunday the alter flowers were placed in Memory of David Jr at Christ Church United Methodist; Sharing his “catch phrase” Make Every Day The Best Day Ever! The flowers represented his favorite colors: red, yellow and blue. It’s been 6 years since David Jr was diagnosed with cancer. #makeeverydaythebestdayever #davidsadventure
