Frank Willis III

Sometimes in life there are losses.

Losses that are so profound and devastating that they are nearly impossible to come back from.

Losing Frank was the ultimate loss for us.

Frank was born on Monday, November 21, 1966, and died on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in the Covid unit of a hospital with his wife and two sons by his side.

We will never forget that day in August, the day we said our last goodbye.

We weren’t ready to say goodbye.

We weren’t ready for him to leave us.

Frank was 54 years old when he died. He spent 19,987 days on this earth.

To some people that might be a lot, but to us we just feel cheated.

Cheated out of every good and wonderful thing that was to come after that awful day in August.

If it were possible, we would give anything for just one more day, one more minute, to have this beautiful man here with us again.

Why Frank died will always be an unanswerable question.

I think we will ask God why for the rest of our lives, and never come to understand it.

Some things are just too hard to understand.

If love could have saved Frank, he would have lived forever. He was loved by so many people and is missed by even more.
