Constance West Adams
Thank you for visiting our beloved, Connie Adams! It is our honor to celebrate the life and legacy of Connie through a collection of photos, videos, and stories. We remember her charisma, her caring nature, and more than anything, her love for her family. As our matriarch, she was the cornerstone of our family. She kept us grounded and encouraged through the many life lessons she imparted upon us. As a nurse, she reminded us to love and care for others. This was evident in the way that she loved and cared for us. As an employee of the County Jail, however, she taught us to be bold and face our fears. She was a poet and loved the words that could express the things we otherwise may not. Many days you could find her studying the dictionary and quizzing her many grandkids on spelling and definitions. Her love for words was rivaled only by her love for numbers. Whether it was interesting sequences, problems, or comparisons, we were taught to love all things interesting about numbers. This love for numbers was a catalyst to her passion for card games and the like. Most family get-togethers were not complete without some sort of board game to end the night. It was a time for us to laugh and joke, but also to exercise the wittiness that she passed down to us. Needless to say, Connie was usually on the winning team. It is with incredible pride that I write these words that shed light on only a fraction of the things that we will miss about Connie. But her legacy is not gone, it is only just beginning. We will continue her legacy through the lessons that we teach our children. We will teach them to love and care for others the way she loved and cared for us. We will teach them to be bold and lead with courage. We will teach them a love for words and numbers the way she taught us. Speaking of which, there are exactly 1,934 characters and spaces in this memorial. 1934 is the same year our loving Connie was born.
