Life story

In the quiet demeanor that defined him, Matt was an introvert, yet his love spoke volumes. His heart, deep and boundless, overflowed with affection for those lucky enough to be in his inner circle.

A hardworking business owner native to Columbia, Matt poured his sweat and soul into his endeavors, creating not just a livelihood but a testament to dedication and perseverance. His commitment to building something lasting mirrored his commitment to family and preserving their legacy—a legacy woven into the fabric of his being.

Matt's life was a symphony of love, and at its heart were his children, Ashlee and Matt, his greatest source of pride. To him, they were the very essence of his being. His pride in their accomplishments echoed loudly. As he navigated the journey of fatherhood, Matt's dedication knew no end. His kids were not just a part of his life; they were his life.

While Matt may have been quiet, his emotions ran deep. He was the kind of man who cried during sad movies, a tender heart beneath the surface of stoicism. His poetic soul found solace in the embrace of nature and the wisdom of trees. A farmers tan marked his tireless efforts, a badge of hard work and outdoor pursuits that characterized his self.

And oh, how he loved food! Matt could put away a meal with a passion.

His love for his wife was the heartbeat of his existence. Together, they embarked on a journey, not just through the years they shared but in the plans they crafted for the future they should have had. Matt's dreams were woven with threads of love and dedication for his wife, Sandy.

In the silence he embraced, Matt was always listening. Comfortable with quiet moments, he understood the power of presence and the unspoken connections that bound us. His willingness to spend money, though it drove his wife nuts, reflected a generosity that knew no bounds, especially when it came to his loved ones.

Always my brother

I miss you big brother. You were always my true knight in shining armor. You protected me from a much as you possible could since we were just kids. Truth is, I lost you before you even died and that's the real hurt. Sandy put a wall up between us and nothing was ever the same after that. You knew the truth and loved me irregardless. You'll forever be in my heart and memories. 💚
