Ashlee
The riptides of grief are constant but it is the price I would pay over and over again just to have you in my life for as long as I did. I love you, my sweet girl. Death cannot sever our bond and I know you are with me always.🌻🩷🦋💫
"August sunrise, August sunset. A life filled with love, no time for regret. Cowboy boots and a golden smile, Taking on life every country mile. Our hearts keep breaking as her sweet soul takes flight. She is our Ashlee, and she is our light."
Ashlee was born on a sunny summer afternoon in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on August 20, 2006.
Her parents Meaghan and Brad were thrilled to welcome her into the world.
She was a funny, precocious child who enjoyed exploring the world around her.
In 2009 Ashlee became a big sister to Aiden and even from a young age she was always a big help.
Growing up in a small rural community gave Ashlee the chance to flourish in a quiet, country setting. She was friendly, hard working, and down to earth.
She had an appreciation for nature and loved every animal she ever met.
In 2016 Ashlee moved from Marengo to Kindersley where she attended school from grades 5-11. She was excited to be graduating from high school in 2024.
Over the years she enjoyed a variety of interests including band, scrapbooking, photography, and soccer.
As she got older she loved cruising around in her truck and hanging out with her friends. She would often pull over to take pictures of the prairie sunsets.
Ashlee loved life and her family. She loved her friends and her cats.
She was, and is, immensely loved in return.
Her smile lit up the room and she could always make us laugh.
There are truly no words that can convey how much she meant to us, or how the world is less bright without her here.
From the greatest love comes the deepest loss. We are so grateful for the time we had with her and the memories we made.
She will be forever missed.
