To my grandfather Peep

In Loving Memory of Peep Today, I get the privilege to write about an extraordinary life of a remarkable man that I got to call Peep, who touched our hearts with his kindness, resilience, and unwavering commitment to his family. Peep was not just my grandfather; he was a guiding force, a source of inspiration, and a testament to the power of hard work and determination. Peep's journey through life was characterized by a fierce independence and an unyielding spirit. He possessed an entrepreneurial drive that led him to pursue ventures that weren't just about making a living but creating a legacy for his loved ones. From the inception of a Taco Villa to the ownership of apartments and real estate, Peep was a visionary who understood the value of hard work and self-reliance. His strong-willed nature and refusal to work for others reflected a determination to shape his destiny and provide for his family in ways that were uniquely his own. Peep's legacy lives on in the businesses he started, the restaurants and hotels he opened, each a testament to his ambition and dedication to those he held dear. Peep wasn't just a businessman; he was a fountain of wisdom. His lectures, opinions, and advice were delivered with a sternness that mirrored his commitment to the success of those around him. His desire for everyone to succeed was rooted in a genuine belief in the potential of each individual. A memory that lingers sweetly in my heart is Peep's unique way of consoling us in times of pain. His remedy for aches and hurts, his "Wasp medicine" in the form of candy, was a testament to his ability to find joy and humor even in difficult moments. It reflected a deep understanding of the power of love and sweetness to heal wounds. Peep's love for preserving and restoring things was not just a hobby; it was a reflection of his appreciation for the beauty in life. His treasures became the building blocks for unforgettable adventures, like the creation of go carts that brought joy and laughter to my cousins and I, and many “creations” we made over the years. His passion for business and his willingness to share his insights left a permanent mark on those fortunate enough to receive his guidance. Peep's advice wasn't just about profits and losses; it was about building a foundation for a secure and fulfilling life. I will always remember Peep as a man of great character, a loving grandfather, and a visionary whose legacy will endure through the businesses he built and the lives he touched. Though he may no longer be with us, the lessons he imparted, the love he shared, and the memories he created will forever be etched in our hearts. Rest in peace, Peep! You are deeply missed, and your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know you. Jahdiel
