Carter was born on May 25, 2005 in Tulsa, OK and from the very beginning, it was evident that he possessed a special light that would shine brightly throughout his life. His infectious laughter and boundless energy became the heartbeat of his family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on those who were touched by his presence.
Carter graduated from Wagoner High School in May 2023 and planned to join the Air Force to become a pilot. He most recently held a position at The Canebrake as a Sous-chef where he made many friends and touched the hearts of all that visited and came to know him.
Known for his loving and playful personality, Carter had a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. Whether it was his mischievous grin, his playful sense of humor, or his unwavering optimism, he had a way of making everyone around him feel cherished and alive.
Carter’s kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and he was always there to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word. His friendships were built on a foundation of trust, laughter, and genuine care, creating a tight-knit community that felt more like family.
In addition to his magnetic personality, Carter made a significant impact on those he encountered at every turn. His passion for helping others and acting as a big brother to every child he encountered showcased the depth of his compassion. Whether volunteering to mow for strangers he met while working at Wal-Mart or hanging their TV, or simply brightening someone's day with a spontaneous act of kindness, Carter left an enduring legacy of love and generosity.
Though Carter departed from this world too soon, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we mourn the loss of a beloved son, brother, and friend, the family asks that you also celebrate the beautiful life that he lived—a life that touched ours in ways we will forever cherish.
This is Carter and I at our first OJAM event. Carter was shooting the bow he just made, it only took him about 2 days to make the bow with some instruction from expert bowyer Kenny Cartwright. He had gotten a snake skin to put on it but never got to do it. We also went together in 2023, that was Carters last OJAM event. It will never be the same without you son. I can’t put into words how much I miss you. I loved doing this kind of stuff with you. I promise I will complete your bow and put your snake skin on it. We will shoot together again one day, I love you son.
Oh how we miss you! Every single day. Life is a horrible thief. Grateful to have been a part of your time on this side of Heaven. We love you, Nephew. So much. And I know you knew it. Doing our best to honor the legacy of love you left behind, hoping to see your face again soon.
