“Compete Your Dream”
Daniel Richard Torres:
It is with great sadness and sorrow that the Torres Family announce the passing of our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandson, Nephew and Cousin, Daniel Richard Torres (Danny to his family, Daniel to his friends). Daniel passed away on September 25, 2023.
Danny was born to Dan and Carla Torres on April 29, 1999, he was 24 years young at the time of his passing. Danny is survived by: his three sisters Tierra (husband Gavin) Gelhausen Buchanan, Kassandra (Kassie) (husband Dustin) Patchen, and Breanna (Bre) Torres. Danny has three nieces and one nephew - Alivia Rose, Nash Luka, Peyton Marie and Sophia James.
Daniel was born and raised in North Idaho in the Coeur d’ Alene area. Daniel graduated from Lake City High School in 2017. He then attended North Idaho College and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree with emphasis on Anatomy and Physical Therapy. Daniel then attended the American Institute of Message Therapy and achieved his Certification as a Licensed Clinical Message Therapist. Daniel was licensed to practice in three states, Idaho, Washington and Hawaii. Daniel always said he loved working alongside the Physical Therapist to help people work through their pain, injuries and ailments. He specialized in deep tissue treatment and sports therapy.
Daniel was a very loving and caring person. He always lit up the room with his beautiful smile and could put a smile on your face with his contagious laugh. His sister Bre (& best friend) would say “Danny is the Best guy she knows!” He was loved by everyone that knew him. He was polite and caring, always willing to help out anyone when needed. Danny was also an outgoing, energetic, and adventurous person who wasn’t afraid to try anything at least once.
Danny loved his music always listening at every opportunity and attending numerous concerts with his sister Bre and other friends. Danny loved the outdoors, he was a true outdoorsman spending his free time, backpacking, camping, hunting, fishing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Growing up on Lake CDA, he loved all water-sports such as boating, wakeboarding, wake-surfing and ocean activities like scuba-diving, snorkeling and free diving.
Daniel loved to travel, in April of 2023, he “Completed His Dream” to backpack across Europe, traveling to Spain, France, Switzerland, Amsterdam, Austria, Germany and all territories in between. He also spent time in Australia, Aruba, the Bahamas and Canada, as well as, visiting many US States such as Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, Montana, Washington, Arizona, California, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Wyoming among others.
Our family is deeply heartbroken and saddened to have lost Daniel. He was a precious soul that lit-up our lives and left us way too soon. Our family has many great memories of him, and we will miss creating new memories without him. Please keep Daniel in your thoughts, prayers and memories, never forget what a great person Danny was!
