Dora Soto Gallegos

Dora Soto Gallegos, aged 72, departed this life peacefully Wednesday, July 2, 1997, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Monday, September 22, 1924, in Houston, Texas, to Gil Soto and Antonia Jalomo Soto. She had three siblings, Paula Soto Morin (1919-2021), Eulalio “Lalo” Jalomo Soto (1921-1993) and Modesta Carlotta Soto Rojas (1929-2013). She married Sylvester Vasquez Rubio in 1946 and later Pedro Reyes Gallegos, Jr. in 1970. A selfless mother to Arthur Sylvester Rubio (1947-1991) and John Anthony Rubio (1957-2026). A proud grandmother to six grandchildren, Johnny (b. 1974), John “Tony” (b. 1976), James (b. 1976), Andy (b. 1978), Daniel (b. 1987) and Victor (b. 1988). She will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
