Elizabeth Jane Buchanan
Elizabeth Jane Buchanan (Walter)
Born March 16, 1970
Leaving us on August 22, 2024
Her parents are Rebecca Reeder and the late John Walter.
She was born in Escondido, CA
She married James Buchanan on September, 20, 1997 in Union Creek.
Elizabeth loved purple and burgundy, butterflies and teddy bears.
Some of her favorite bands were Journey, Metallica, New kids on the Block, and Queen.
She loved Shirley Temple movies, 16 Candles, and the Breakfast Club.
We can't forget her obsession with Law & Order SVU, crime shows, and Supernatural.
Her first job was at El Polo Loco, her last job was a manager for Ramada Inn where she worked until she could not see enough to do do the job.
She got her license when she was 24, driving an AMC Concord. Her eyesight lead her to stop driving around age 35.
After having Courtney, she couldn't birth any more children but she always wanted more. During her marriage she gained two step daughters, then she adopted 3 childen, but many others came for a place to eat and rest their head.
She loved her grandchildren with her whole heart and would do anything for them.
Her dog Journey was her best friend for 13 years. They were so close, they even resembled each other at times.
Journey went over the rainbow bridge, just 6 months before Elizabeth passed away.
She had more medical issues than most people deal with in a lifetime but she didn't left that keep her down. Legally blind, leg amputee, kidney failure to name a few.
With her disabilities, you'd think she'd be a home body, right? Wrong, she went to Florida and Hawaii as a cheer mom, the coast, and went to the blind school by herself in Portland. She also flew multiple times by herself.
This past summer she flew from Utah to Oregon to visit her kids and grandkids for the season.
In July, she spent a fun day at the fair with her girls, Wyatt, and the grandkids. The very next day she had a medical emergency, became incoherent, and went to the hospital, partially due to diabetic ketoacidosis. A month in the hospital until her body couldn't handle it anymore. Unfortunately, we don't have concrete answers, but she wasn't alone during her final moments.
She left us too soon, but she will be remembered for how much she loved.
