Elizabeth Ora Catoe McGowan
Elizabeth Ora Catoe McGowan, 72 of Burlington, NC left us peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born on November 15, 1952, Elizabeth was a woman of unwavering spirit , determination and resilience. She had a zest for life, enjoyed music, dancing and often had a Dr. Pepper and a bologna sandwich in hand. Elizabeth loved to watch Duke Basketball and the Dallas Cowboys win. She also cherished her time playing Scrabble and word searches, where her sharp wit and love for words truly shone. She was once a proud employee of Burlington Times-News and owner of her own business, Liz's House Cleaning.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, David Jackson, sister, Ella, mother and father, Della and Louis Catoe.
