Merry Christmas Dad🎄 We love and miss you🤍

Will forever cherish the memories of you putting up our Christmas tree every year So now l get to bring a little sprinkle of Christmas to you🤍 Missing you gets a little harder this time of the year🤍 P.s. Can’t wait to play Super Mario brothers with you again one day. Even if since you beat the game a handful of times you have to walk me through how to get all the hidden coins and it will eventually result in me just watching you beat it all again❤️

Carrying a piece of you with me forever💙🤍💙

The meaning behind the tattoo.. Everything written is in Dad’s hand writing from old birthday cards, old documents and random bills he wrote numbers on. Butterflies are messengers of the dead. I will forever believe that dad sent us one on the day we were picking out his plot. To not just show us this was the spot he wanted to be, but that he was okay🤍 The flowers are his birth flower but also holds a memory of fishing around a bunch of Lilly pads with my him which is a memory I’ve always cherished🤍 8,972 is for the number of days I had with him on this Earth🤍 I now get to carry around a reminder of him and how much he loved me forever💙🤍💙

Happy Birthday Dad💙 (A lot late forgot to post)

Happy Birthday Dad💙 If you were here I would be making fun of you getting old. What I didn’t realize was that getting to make fun of you getting older would one day mean that the jokes and laughter would stop and you would forever be 50. This will be your second birthday in heaven and I’m never going to get use to looking up to the sky to wish you Happy Birthday. I love you always you old fart💙💙

2 years missing you🤍

I will never understand why heaven needed you more than we did. Even after 2 years there are still nights I am just frozen and can’t breathe thinking about everything you went through, our last days together and all the things I thought I still had time to say. There are also days I see something that makes me think of you and I can smile a little more now. I still catch myself talking about you like you are still here cause in a way I guess you are💙🤍 I miss you everyday and nothing has been the same since you left. I hope you are looking down to see everything you should be here for if not I’ll catch you up when I get there. I love you dad💙🤍

A year without you here💙🤍💙🤍

A year ago today I woke up in a panic that I fell asleep in a hospital chair next to my Dad. At this point he was non responsive anyway but I felt like I had failed. I had been up for days with little to no sleep and the hospice aids and nurses knew this and let me sleep. They hugged me while I cried and made sure I knew everything that happened while I was asleep (which wasn’t much). Somehow I knew today was going to be the day I had to say goodbye to my Dad forever…. I had to say goodbye to the man that I loved first in this world. My Dad always knew when something was wrong or I needed a little more reassurance or even just a really long hug… I remember coming home one night from work and I had busted my butt pretty hard and it was one of the most embarrassing things at the time. I walked in the door when I got home seen my Dad on the couch and in that moment I knew I just needed my Dad. I ran over and curled up beside him and he just held me until I was okay enough to talk about it. He never freaked out about much when us kids got hurt but he was at my door so fast when my migraines had finally caused stroke like symptoms (at the time we had no idea that would be the cause). He rushed me to the Hospital, thought he was going to strangle a few people to see me faster, stayed with me all night and even went to a follow up scan of my head weeks later. Even after he got diagnosed with Cancer he still wanted to make sure I had the reassurance that he was okay. I was sitting in the living room floor cause both my parents were laying on the couches. He got up to get something and when he walked back in I looked at him and he must have seen the worry on my face and touched my head and said “I’m okay babygirl” He never wanted anyone to see just how bad he was and put on a smile and would laugh just like he wasn’t in pain. He really was one of the strongest people I knew. He was one of my biggest supporters in life… That being always telling me I was going to pass some stupid test I worried myself to death over. To be right there to tell me he told me so when I did pass it. Or Being in the stands at a basketball game yelling at me what to do or even stepping in to coach. I still remember watching the ACC or college games sitting right by him asking questions and yelling at the tv like he use to do. Or always being there for the big accomplishments of course but even the day to day small ones. From this day a year ago I would no longer have… the person I ran to when something was wrong. The person that always knew when I needed a hug and to not let go. I would no longer have the person that understood me the most. The person that made fun of me being short and me giving him crap about being old. The person that could make any situation into something funny. Dad I miss you every day and I will forever feel guilty for not being able to do more. Thank you for being the best dad, best pawpaw to big T (as you called him), the best friend, best dance partner, supporter and cheerleader that I could have ever asked for in my life. Thank you for teaching me everything I know about being strong. I love you Daddy and I really hope you are looking down from your own big mountain in the sky and are proud. 🤍💙🤍💙 P.S. Thank you for letting me steal your oatmeal cookies🤍💙🤍💙

My Son

God bless me on July the 4th 1973, with my son Wade. He was a blessing to our family. He was sick a lot . He was put back in the hospital when he was just a week old. But he got better, with three children that God blessed me with I was very happy mother. I was blessed I got to have 50 years with him before God took him home September 11th 2023 . He will always be in my heart,❤️

Happy Father’s Day

Dad, I really wish you could have been here to see what I think was the best Father’s Day gift ever. You had made it a Walmart tradition whenever we went to go through the big bins and search for the coolest Hot Wheels cars that we could find. I still have all our Hot Wheels that we got over the years and even the ones you got me before I was old enough to remember. I was told you wanted a boy before I came along and that must be why I took up a love for Hot Wheels cars, but I truly ran away with your heart and became a mini you. I wouldn’t trade anything for these memories I have with you. I love you daddy!! Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ask for!!
