Life story

Heinrich "Henry" Weber Sr. was born to Johann Adam Weber and Katharina Margaretha Schoessler. He was born on November 21, 1878 in Walter, Russia. He was one of 18 children of Johann Adam & Katharina Margaretha Schoessler Weber. He met and married Katherine Margaret Amend on January 18, 1899. He came to the United States on the Friedric Der Grosse, arriving in 1902. He came with his wife Katherine and two children Magdalena and Henry Jr. They eventually had 10 children, all who survived to adulthood. The Henry Weber Family built a homestead in Quincy, Washington, where they farmed for many years. He lived in Quincy for 40 years before retiring from farming in 1941 and moving to Wenatchee, Washington. Henry and Katherine celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1949. All ten of their children were present. Magdalena (the only daughter), Henry, John, Wilhelm, Frederick, Samuel, Karl, Daniel, Ernest and Elmer. They were married 54 years when Katherine passed away in 1953. Henry Sr. passed away at his home in Wenatchee, on July 1, 1968. They are both buried in the Quincy Valley Cemetery, in Quincy, Washington.
