MY Ita 💋
MY Ita was a force to be reckon with. She was an iconic woman. An extraordinary woman. An irreplaceable woman. A true angel from above. She never faltered in her love for her family. She was the epitome of loyalty and unconditional love. Her embrace would heal any form of pain you were facing in that moment. Her laugh and smile were contagious. Her kisses would stay with you until the end of time. And the way she looked at each and every one of us, with such warmth, admiration, and passion; filled our hearts for a lifetime. She was the best mommy/mami/mamita that her children could ask for and THE ABSOLUTE BEST grandmother/abuelita/ita that her grand and great grandchildren could ask for. To know her was to love her AND to be loved by her. She was not “survived by” us; we, her family, were survived by her. Each of us is missing a piece of us right now. A piece that will be filled by all the love and memories we shared with her but we will never be a completed puzzle again. I had 35 years, 7 months, and 10 days with MY Ita in my life. I, the first born grandchild, made her an abuelita and then titled her “Ita”. A name that stayed with her for 35 years, 7 months, and 10 days. A name that will NEVER be forgotten and NEVER used again other than to speak of her. I was blessed beyond measure in the 35 years, 7 months, and 10 days that I had with her. She taught me love, loyalty, and passion. She taught me that I deserved all the love I dreamt of. She looked at me with so much joy and pride; she hugged me with so much love; and she loved me like no one has ever loved me before. Until I found Alyssa. With our wedding less than 2 weeks away I cannot begin to even explain what I’m feeling. It is bitter sweet to be losing such a great love while I’ve gained another. To know that she will not physical be there… ugh, my heart aches with that thought. I can close my eyes and picture her sitting at the front corner seat of the ceremony, crying because she’s so happy and excited for me and what the future has in store. Ay, MY Ita. 🥺 With everything I have written above, I feel like I haven’t said enough because 13,004 days was NOT enough. 🥺 😢 😭 💔 I’ll “see you later” ita. I know you will continue to watch over me and guide me as I continue my journey. I hope that I will make you proud. Rest In Peace MY Ita. Iris Maria Lebron Cruz 6/22/1945 - 9/28/2022 Te quiero mucho mas.
