My Son

Two years ago… Two years ago was the last time we saw our handsome young man full of life and so carefree. The last time we held him, felt his warmth, his love, heard his laughter. We hold on tightly to those memories—it lives in our hearts every single day in every single moment. While our world was being turned upside down, you were running into the arms of Jesus—nothing broken and the old made new—completely whole, completely healed. While the tears fall down all we can do is smile because we know, you found peace, joy, and a love greater than we can only imagine. Our lives have forever been changed. Friends and family say we are strong, but what we’ve learned is how to lean on God, lean on each other, to keep going, to smile and laugh even when our hearts are breaking. Grief is heavy, it’s emotional and honestly we are hurting. We know that this is not the end and one day soon we will be with each other again, all the while you wait where there is no mourning, crying, or pain. Hold your people close! Tell them you love them! Spend time with each other. This is our reality! It’s a constant reminder of how precious and fragile life truly is. Everyday isn’t promised but an eternity in Jesus is! We love you and miss you, Jadon Menchaca . Until we meet again, forever our boy 🤍 #forever22 #LLJM
