Thank you for your service

James served in the armed forces. We honor that service here.

Life story

Mr. Savoy was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville having been a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church where he was a member of the St. Francis Altar Society. A veteran of the military, he proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard and upon his discharge from the military, was employed with Sears as a Service Technician for many years until his retirement.

James, affectionately known as “Jimmy”, was the patriarch of his family and of the community - he was known for his outpouring love, knowledge, talents, and selflessness to all. He enjoyed being outdoors, cutting grass, working in his garden, and being with his grandchildren.

Jimmy was an incredibly proud husband, father, and grandfather. May his legacy live on in each of their hearts, forevermore. He is now resting in the arms of God who holds us tight.
