Life story
BOSCAWEN – Jason Paul Dickey, 19, of Boscawen, died unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017.
Jason was born in Malden, Mass. on Oct. 21, 1997, to Paul and Martha (Arsenault) Dickey. He was a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School Class of 2016 and was a valued team member at Market Basket on Fort Eddy Road in Concord.
Jason possessed a heart of the truest gold and a smile that could light up any room. A hug from Jason was like no other; his hugs were the tightest and fullest of love. He had a deep appreciation of music and nice cars, and an unparalleled sense of fashion. Jason knew the value of dressing not for where you are, but for where you want to go.
In addition to his loving parents, Jason is survived his cherished siblings, brother, Garrett "Gee" Cassidy and wife, Kimmy, and sisters, Kaitlyn "KK" and Ryan "Sissy" Cassidy. He was the much-loved nephew of Cheryl and James McGonagle and the "heart nephew" to so many of his parents' friends; caring uncle to Haileigh, Jason, Kaira, Philip and Rey-Leigh; and dear friend of Kelly, Haley, Andrew, Tommy and countless others. He also leaves behind Garrett "Pop Pop" Cassidy, with whom he had a very special bond, as well as numerous cousins and other extended family. Jason was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandparents, Emily Arsenault and John Blaikie and paternal grandparents, Richard and Kathaleen (Honey) Dickey. The emptiness left by Jason's passing will be felt by all whose lives he touched, and he will be greatly missed by his parents.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Jason's life on Monday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral, 172 King St. in Boscawen. Jason will be laid to rest immediately following at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to the Greater Boston chapter of The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial or leave a message of condolence please go to phaneuf.net.
Oh, Jason - how I miss you so baby. I wish this wasn't a thing -but this site will allow your memory to live on forever. People can come and leave a tribute, or a photo of you - and the medallion will be on your headstone always. I love you sweet boy.
