Jerold Mulliner Frame
Jerold M. Frame 1937 ~ 2007 Our beloved father, grandfather, and husband, Jerold "Jerry" M. Frame, age 69, returned home peacefully on Thursday, June 7, 2007 to our Father in Heaven, with loving family members by his side. Jerry was born August 13, 1937 in Park City, Utah to Vernee C. Frame and Virgie E. Mulliner. He grew up in Cedar City, where he was a "shooting, plunging, running, and tackling demon" at Cedar High. He received degrees from CSU, BYU, and UCLA's School of Physical Therapy. He was the physical therapist at BYU for 38 years, serving the students and staff of BYU and the MTC missionaries. On May 29, 1967, dad married the love of his life, Susan Bird, in the St. George LDS temple. Together, they had six children and 18 1/2 grandchildren The most important things in dad's life were his wife and children - family meant everything to him. He coached or attended thousands of his kid's games and practices, even coaching his daughters' softball game two days before he passed. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jerry served as a missionary in England and Scotland from 1958 to 1960. He also served as Bishop, High Councilor, Elders' Quorum President, and his favorite calling as Priest Quorum advisor and coach for 17 years. Dad was a pioneer in the field of assisted heart devices (LVADs), surviving three heart surgeries and more than 34 months with the LVAD. Through it all, Sue was his "angel of mercy" and true lifeline. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Hugh V. Bird. He is survived by his wife Susan; his siblings Robert (Joy), Michael (Donna), Pat (Widge) Quarnberg; his children Steve (Jenny), Wendy (Jeff) Call, Barbara (Gunnar) Gunnarson, Tami (Steevun) Lemon, Kate (Giegh) Rogerson, Craig (Sue); seven and one-half granddaughters and 11 grandsons; his mother-in-law Margie Bird; his brother-in-law Dennis (Merrily) Bird, and his sister-in-law Sherrie (Larry) Silcox. Funeral services will be held Mon., June 11, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., in the Sharon 2nd Ward Chapel, 641 South 400 East, Orem, UT. Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, June 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, UT, or Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be held in the Orem City Cemetery. The family would like to express thanks to Dr. James Stringham, the late Joanne Carlson and the LVAD staffs at the University of Utah and LDS Hospitals. Condolences may be sent to the family at: www.walkerfamilymortuary.com
Dear Sue and family:
Sincere condolence to you all. Sue, I know that you have been a pillar of strength to Jerry through these last difficult years. I miss our days on the ball field and Jerry always so ready to step in and assist me in coaching the Lady Speedsters. You have a wonderful family who I am sure will be at your side through these difficult times. Sorry I am so late in sending my condolence as I just returned from 2 mos. assisting my mom in Nova Scotia.

Sue dear,
It is June 26 and I only just heard of your sweet Jerry passing. Carol Ann and Alan Curtis happened to come in to the store I work and asked if I had talked with you. If I had known, I would have been there. Please know I still think of you often. Time has given us different roads to travel, but I am here in Utah County now and please know I am thinking of you and you are in my prayers. Just to see you with Jerry at the reunions, you knew how much he loved you. Such a special blessing for you. He was such a wonderful husband and father.

Dear Sue,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss and my sincere condolances go out to you and your family.
Jerry was a great guy. I always enjoyed when he called me at EMIA with claim or insurance questions. Jerry was always so upbeat and fun to talk too. And he always had lots of great things to say about you and his family.
I know in my heart, death is a blessing. We are in a better place, in our most perfect form, and freed of all the pains and trials of this life. I lost my son Brett a few years ago, and understand the pain of losing someone you love. I read somewhere, "If God could touch your eyes, so you could see, you would see your loveone standing next to you." This gave me great comfort after losing my son. There is and always will be a hole in your heart, but time will ease the pain.
If there is anything I can do for you, I would welcome a call.
Sincerely,
Vicki(Sanders)Peterson

Steve, Wendy, and family,
My greatest memories of Jerry were sitting in the bleachers at Orem High of probably every football game that took place in his lifetime, including a couple of years ago when I took my son to a game. He was an honorable patriarch to a truly amazing family, and our prayers are with you and your family at this tender time. May your faith sustain you and the life and legacy your sweet father has left behind...

I’d like to express my sincerest sympathies to Sister Frame and the entire Frame family. Big Jer was such a great example to all of those he came in contact with. Everyone speaks to the tremendous love Brother Frame showed to his family. There was never a ball game where he was missing. That example has touched me and has inspired me and many others to try and be like him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Sister Frame, and all of your family. He will certainly be missed but his teachings and example certainly live on.

Jerry was a great man! He was a good example to me and was one of my biggest supporters when I was in high school. I remember him cheering and coaching us in our ward basketball games and leaving work early to watch a sophomore football game at OHS. He was a great father, husband and example to all he associated with. He will truly be missed.

Jerry was a great Uncle to me. He gave me great advice. He was also my Bishop at BYU--even the one who sent me on my mission. He took great care, and sacrificed much of himself, to help others.
He was a great, hard-working, and loving man, Husband, Father, Uncle, Bishop, and friend. His influence and example will be remembered by many forever--myself included.
We, his relatives, will miss him dearly until we gather together with him as an extended family after we each pass.
May we each honor him through living lives of courage, love, and responsibility, as he taught us all.

Jerry was the Elder's Quorum President when we first moved into our Orem home. He was there to greet us when we arrived. Keith later served with him and has always appreciated his friendship. Putting in a sprinkler systerm brought Keith and Jerry together in another way...working to make the system a success. We admire his courage, good example and faith. His passing leaves a void in our hearts and neighborhood. Thanks for setting a good example for all of us. We pray for peace and comfort now and in the months ahead. Love, Keith and Jenny Mauerman

As a very young physician just out of the Army my first job was at the BYU Health Center where I was taught by Jerry Frame how to help recover athletes and students to their full potential. Not only was he a master of his trade but a truly remarkable man. I have been blessed many times over by his life and fortunate to have been able to care for his dear family. These last three years have been remarkable as I have watched Susan and Jerry's relationship and his "magic pump." Such a good man with a personal heritage and eternal family. He will be missed by so many who have been invited into their home and family associations.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Frame family. I worked for Jerry in the Physical Therapy department at BYU for 4 years. He was an outstanding example to me and all the students and missionaries that he served. Jerry's dedication to his family and the gospel was evident in all that he did.

I have so many great memories with Tami, Barb and the family. Your dad never missed a game and supported all of us in our activities together. I remember making efforts to meet curfew so you could report to your dad waiting in his chair for your safe return. Your family has been an outstanding example to me always. I have friends that treat me like an additional sister. What a tribute to your dad that you follow his example of kindness and loyality. My love to you all.

Jerry was a great man as evidenced by his wonderful wife and family. I've always admired the Frame's, especially Craig and Steve, and I think they are who they are because of their wonderful parents. I'm very grateful to have known Jerry and to be close with his sons. I wish the family peace and comfort, and may God bless you as you move forward from this difficult time of loss.

I think the best way to look at a man, is to look at his family and his children. I can honestly say that I have never seen better kids. He raised a family that was smart, hard working and more than anything honest. He was a good man, and I am happy to say I knew him, and that I knew his family.
