Joanne Rachel Le Lacheur
Jo was life in all its colours and hues. Forever being the brightest in every room, having endless passions from animals to new business ventures. She worked together with the local church for years to provide Christmas estate parties, they would ensure each child had an age appropriate gift and that the families also had something too. Not only that but they also made sure that every Easter each house woke up to Easter goodies in a brown bag hung on their door.
Jo loved music, exploring the world, practical jokes, and being creative. Jo also adored baking, whenever it was someone’s birthday she’d be sure to bake them a cake and decorate it uniquely. She loved trying new things and once asked a Brighton fudge shop to teach her how to make it - inevitably she became very good at it and was constantly experimenting with new flavours. Jo had the best brownies anyone could imagine and would frequently hand out things she’d made.
Jo had a very strong sense of community, she started her own petition for people on the estate to be given better quality housing, she also campaigned for speed bumps to be put in so that both children and animals would be safer when outside. Jo also nominated Guernseys oncology unit and breast clinic for ‘Angel of the Year’ in the Pride of Guernsey awards because she felt they deserved it most for all the outstanding care they provide daily.
She was truly an indescribable lady to everyone who got to know her.
