June Marie Brooks

At 6 p.m. on August 14, 2023, at the age of 94, our beloved June peacefully passed away. Grammy, as she was known to her eleven grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was an absolutely bright light in this world. If you knew her, you loved her. Grammy put everyone else’s needs before her own and treasured her family. Very seldom did she ask for help, Grammy was so independent that she lived on her own until she was 93. While we could write so much about the incredibly close relationship she had with all of her grandchildren, how she never stopped being an exceptional mother, or the way she doted over her great-grandchildren, we will instead leave you with this. June, our Grammy, filled our hearts with so much love that we will carry with us for all of our days and her presence will be felt in everything we do. Everyone should be so lucky to have a June in their lives.

We ask that any flowers be sent to Ohman Family Living at Holly Hill Memory Care Unit (10190 Fairmount Rd, Newbury, OH 44065) to brighten the lives of the staff who helped care for June in her final months and the residents who we came to know and care about.
