My Grammy
I'll miss her voice, stories, and hugs the most. She was always so kind and proud of me and my family. Grammy always made me feel loved and special. Every Christmas Eve she would have pink peppermint candy ice cream in the freezer that she would buy just for me. Some of my fondest memories have been spent at Grammy and Papa's house. I always loved having her and Papa right next door when I was growing up. She was always so happy to see us when we would go to visit. She always wore aprons and had tissues in the pockets in case you needed one. Jay and I got married at their house, and I know that meant a lot to Grammy to have our special day there. I have enjoyed watching my girls spend time with them and making their own memories. The girls loved to read with Grammy and eat treats from her cupboard. Grammy would always call to see how we were doing. She would always hand-write cards and deliver flowers to my work. I could always count on a happy birthday phone call every year from Grammy with song. I will always remember breakfast at her house and the fun camping trips. She always called me Honey Girl, and I find myself calling my girls that all the time. Grammy will forever be one of my most favorite and loved people, and I hope to grow old and happy as she did and be there with a loving heart for my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
