Margaret Stermer Hoelscher

Margaret Hoelscher was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Westphalia to Andrew and Mary Schilling Stermer. She lived in Westphalia all her life, graduated from Rosebud High School and married Leonard Hoelscher on Sept. 17, 1946. She worked in the cafeteria at Rosebud-Lott ISD and Westphalia ISD. She also was a school bus driver for Rosebud-Lott ISD. She was honored by Rosebud-Lott High School as a Lifetime Band Booster and in 2009 was awarded the Rosebud High School Outstanding Alumnus Award. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation and the altar society. She was a member of the Westphalia Historical Society from its inception. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 12, 1986, and by a son, Bede Hoelscher, on Jan. 6, 1980.
