Life story

Born in Toronto, Canada, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Maria emerged as the second oldest among her five siblings. Her parents, hailing from the picturesque province of Frosinone in Italy, instilled in her a strong sense of family values. Growing up in North York at Islington and Steeles, the family called San Pietro Way home during her early years.

Maria embarked on her educational journey at St. Roch's Elementary School before the family moved to Malton, settling on Discus Crescent. High school days were spent at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic High School in Malton, where she developed a solid foundation for her future endeavors.

Her academic pursuits led her to study accounting in college. Maria's professional journey kicked off at Food Town Westwood Mall, followed by a brief stint at KFC on Goreway. However, her career trajectory took a significant turn when she joined Group 4 Security at the airport. Maria's versatility and dedication saw her undertaking multiple roles on the airport's airside, showcasing her commitment to professional growth.

Maria, characterized by her strong-willed nature, always knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to pursue it. Her love for the airport environment made her feel at home, fostering a desire to travel incessantly if given the chance.

Proud of her independence, Maria cherished her ability to live on her own and own a car. Her meticulous nature extended to her family orientation, and she took great pride in being a godparent. For Maria, success was measured not only by familial favoritism but particularly by the admiration of her nieces and nephews, who looked up to her as a role model.

A lover of adventure, Maria found joy in couponing, Zumba, and salsa courses. Social by nature, she enjoyed spending time with friends and found pleasure in the simplest and riskiest of activities. Her spontaneity was highlighted when she impulsively traveled to New York City for New Year's in 2020, returning on the same day without any sleep.

Maria's happiness peaked when she was single, relishing the freedom to thrive and savor life. Her favorite media, including movies like Pitch Perfect, Breakfast Club, and Lion King, reflected her love for musicals. TV shows such as Sex and the City and Friends held special places in her heart.

A firm believer in perseverance, Maria tackled challenges with determination. Her advice echoed her own life philosophy: "Not to give up and keep pushing." Maria wanted to inspire others to follow their dreams, always emphasizing, "It's always my way," even in the face of better alternatives.

For Maria, exploring life was a constant pursuit, even if it meant venturing into the unknown. Her legacy includes a strong-willed spirit, a love for family, and an unwavering commitment to living life on her terms.
