You Are My Sunshine!
Mary Beth was born in Prescott Arizona on August 1st 1978. She moved to Mesa, Arizona a few years later. She attended Alma Elementary School where she was student of the month. She participated in Special Olympics track and field and swimming. Mary Beth went to Disneyland with Make-A-Wish and attended Camp Rainbow. Mary Beth was complete sunshine! She loved everyone and brought joy to all who knew her. She loved Barbies, Bubbles, Teddy Ruxpin, Cabbage Patch Kids, School, Nintendo, Carousels, Mini Mouse and Disneyland. The list could go on and on! Mary Beth was born with down syndrome. This extra chromosome made her extra wonderful! She was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 7. Between, chemo, radiation, pokies, staff infections, central lines and even a halo cast for a broken neck, she always had a smile. There are no words to describe the this little ray of sunshine that was only in our lives for a short time.
