Mau Taala
IN LOVING MEMORY OF:
MAU TA’ALA
MARCH 08,1960 - UNTIL FOREVER IN ALL OUR HEARTS
The life of our Beloved Mother Mau Ta’ala. A mother who loved and served the Lord with all her heart and soul. She is a woman of God who loves her husband, kids, and grandkids endlessly. To many, in her life she was a listener, a singer, and a hand to hold. To us, she was a loving wife and mother, the greatest grandmother to her grandkids, but most of all God’s loving Angel.
Our mother has a lovely religious soul who touched the lives of everyone she met in a very special way. Her passion of her church and the Lord was always first and foremost in her life. Her faith in God kept her going and overcome any obstacles against her. She has a strong faith that nothing can defeat her. If she does not have a ride or none of us are available to take her. She would catch the bus to church or any church function. Not only her faith, but our mother always speaks highly of her church family. Her everyday lecture to us is “E ia koaga I le loku.” She misses her church family so much that she speaks of them constantly when she was ill. She loves to sing church hymns. She may not have the best vocal cords but that did not stop her from singing her hymns and praises to the Lord, us and to her grandkids.
My mother loves us her kids, especially her grandbabies. She was the foundation of our family. This family, and her role as a mother and grandmother, was the most important thing to her. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. She faces so many obstacles in life and devastating illness. Yet through it all, she conquered it. Her love and caring for her family remained her focus. And in so many ways, she was able to show that love to us. She was a strong, hardworking and an incredible woman. She encouraged us to pursue our passions. She was the ever-present cheerleader and moral compass of our family. She taught us all what is important in life-to love, support and care for friends and family in our lives. She brought a light to our lives, she often instigated fun but was also patient when we stepped out of line. Surviving our teenage years is a testament to the patience and love my mother had for her family.
Born March 08th, 1960 in Safune, Savaii. Daughter of still living parents Fesui and Manutulila Leti. She was raised in Savaii and Upolu throughout her childhood. Mom is survived by our father Foga’apiapi Ta’ala, seven kids and 12 grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
December 18th,2022 at 03:58pm, our mother took her last breath. A part of us died with her. A part of her will always live on in us because they make up of who we are. While our heart is broken that she is gone and we will never see her again in this life, a part of us feels that she is no longer suffering and is at peace in God’s kingdom.
Thank you so much for joining us today to honor the life of our beloved mother Mau Ta’ala. Our mother was an unforgettable, irreplaceable, and truly remarkable person. With that being said, “Mom, you will always be in our hearts and minds forevermore. It is not goodbye but we will see you soon.”
