Michael Kenneth Viverito

Born in Chicago IL and moved to San Jose California in his Teen years. Graduated from Samuel Ayer High in 1965. Worked at General Electric from 1970-2001 as a Buyer. Was a San Jose Elks # 522 member for 44 years. Was very active in the Elks and went though the chair in the 90s that eventually lead him to be ER of San Jose lodge in 1995-1996. He was also part of the Mardi Gras Majestic which is other ER from other lodges in the District that San Jose Lodge belong too. He loved camping and also joined the camping club with in the San Jose Elks. During his retirement days he worked part time at a few places like AMC Movies in Milpitas, San Jose Arena and Great America as a ticket taker. Mike meet his wife in San Jose CA and he Married Nancy Ellen Ferriera on May 19th, 1979 at Cave Rock of Lake Tahoe Nevada. His best man was John Zoria . They bought a home in San Jose on Fleming Ave and both lived there for 40+ years until he passed in 2023. He had a daughter Gina Viverito born June 16, 1981. She blessed him with a son in law Jesse Gutierrez in 2005 and later they both blessed him with a grand daughter Alize Gutierrez born Sept. 2, 2007. Mike enjoyed his grand daughter and taking her on outings like the park, whale watching in Monterrey Ca and of course to all the Elks children Christmas parties. Mike was also a member of Sons of Sicily and enjoyed going to their Monday night dinners that happened once a month and would reserve the table for him and his friends . He enjoyed taking his family to their SOS family picnic held once a year . Sadly in late 2022 Mike was diagnose with stage 4 lung cancer. He had a short battle with cancer and the lord called him back to be with his parents and brother on Feb 24, 2023.
