Winning It All Song by The Outfield I'm closing up, I'm closing in Couldn't wait for this moment to come Couldn't wait for this day to begin Won't be afraid, got so much pride And I've never been a loser And I just can't lose tonight Winning it all, ain't gonna walk away Giving it all, no matter what you say Ain't gonna fall, don't wanna lose today, ooh Winning it all This time it's right, my time has come Gonna give everything that I've got Till it's over and victory's won No second chance, no giving up Because no one remembers a loser And I don't intend to be one Winning it all, ain't gonna walk away Giving it all, no matter what you say Ain't gonna fall, don't wanna lose today, ooh Winning it all Winning it all, ain't gonna walk away Giving it all, no matter what you say Ain't gonna fall, don't wanna lose today, ooh Winning it all Winning it all, ain't gonna walk away Giving it all, no matter what you say Ain't gonna fall, don't wanna lose today, ooh Winning it all Winning it all, ain't gonna walk away Giving it all, no matter what you say Ain't gonna fall, don't wanna lose today, ooh Winning it all Songwriters: John Spinks.
Nathan was always in a hurry. He arrived at 33 weeks, weighing 5# 12oz and 19" long. He left us, just shy of his 26th birthday. Nathan was a very caring, loving and thoughtful person. He wanted everyone to get a long and always befriended the kids being bullied. He loved animals, nature, art, music, taking long walks with his mom, helping his dad work on anything. He enjoyed time with his friends, riding bikes, swimming, playing youth football, boy scouts, Sunday school and just being an active young man. September 14, 2007, approximately 6pm, Nathan's life forever changed. While on a walk with one of his friends, Nathan was hit by a van. He suffered a catastrophic traumatic brain injury. He spent 5 months in a coma, years in and out of therapy and On With Life rehabilitation facility. After 9 months, from the accident, Nathan came home where his parents were his soul caregivers. He received 24/7 hour nursing care, from his mom, who was a Registered Nurse. Through Nathan's recovery, he had his memory, his wit, humor and love for others. He struggled with everyday activities but remained so positive and happy. As his brain injury progressed, he struggled with autonomic dysreflexia, scoliosis, high muscle tone, tremors, seizures, mobility and eventually succumbed to his injuries 13.5 years, after the accident. During his journey, Nathan had 2 near death experiences. He was very strong with his faith and shared about his time in heaven, to anyone who would listen. His greatest moment was meeting his baby brother, Avery, who was miscarried. Getting to be with Avery was the one thing that gave him peace, when he died. Prior to Nathan's accident, he looked forward to playing high school and college football, getting a college degree in animal science, nursing or HVAC. He'd told us "I want to live close enough to home, so you and da are involved in my future children's lives, but far enough you aren't in my business every day!" At 12 years old, he was wise beyond his years! He never talked much about life before and after his brain injury. It would come up, during intense pain and when going through yet another spinal surgery. Nathan touched a lot of people in his short life. The complexity of his brain injury and scoliosis, taught some of the greatest doctors and nurse a lot. Many have remained lifelong friends.
