Pauline Atkinson, 95 yrs old, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Windsor Atrium Nursing Home in San Benito, TX.
Pauline was born on January 24, 1930 to Manuel and Elena R. Atkinson in Rio Hondo, TX. She never married, or had children. She helped take care of numerous nephews and nieces, which she loved very much. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness throughout her lite.
She was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Elena R. Atkinson, brother Richard Atkinson, brother Epimenio Atkinson, sister Manuela Villarreal, sister Esther Perales, sister Susie Garza, and her beloved nephew Mitchell Wayne Daniels.
She is survived by her sister Mary Atkinson, her niece which she considered her daughter, April Kay (Rene) Cortez, nephew Christopher Rene (Grecia) Cortez, nephew Tyler Cortez, niece Victoria Cortez, and many more nephews and nieces.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to all of the staff that assisted with the care of our beloved, Pauline Atkinson, at Windsor Atrium Nursing Home in San Benito, TX. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you give each and every day. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 25, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a discussion at
7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at La Leona Atkinson Family Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Christopher Rene Cortez, Tyler Cortez, Robert Glenn Atkinson, Blas Perales, JD Perales, and Marco Perales.
