Life story

Richard Dean Yetzer, age 86, of Shelby, OH, died October 14, 2020 at his home surrounded by loving family by his side. Whitey, as friends n family called him, was born July 23rd, 1934 to Urban and Hattie (Stephan) Yetzer. He graduated from St Marys School and Shelby High in 1952. Whitey was a loyal, and dedicated worker with careers working at Ballonoff and MTD making other people money to raise his family. Dick lived for family. Surviving him is are his devoted wife of 66 years, Betty Joan (Liscano) Yetzer whom he wed in June 5th of 1954. Whitey came from a large family of 9 bothers and sisters who are resting peacefully next to him. Richard and Joan had 5 children, Paula, Diane, Douglas, Philip and Brian. He had two grand children and wanted more, Andrew and Katie. I believe if he had one wish, it would be to spend more time with his family ensure they grew healthy, strong in the catholic religion and stayed together as a supportive family.
