Life story

Steven Holmes of Parshall, North Dakota, born in Towner, North Dakota, passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Steven and Shelly were Married 06/23/1984, young and in love they made it through the good times and the bad. they shared so many journeys and memories together it's unfair to touch on a handful. Shelly was the horse loving girl that met the high school basketball star, they were concert going Rock and Roll loving Crazy teenagers that fell in love and soon after, became parents. Anyone who knew steven aka Krazee knows that his favorite thing to do was tell stories where he was the main dramatic character, he loved to make people laugh and awe them with outlandish stories that seemed to "Krazee" to be true. Steven Loved to spend time at his lake cabin in VanHook. He spent as much time as he could there at the cabin that his father passed down to him. most VanHook locals knew steven as the "Krazee" long haired guy in the American flag golf chart; or "VanHook Jesus" (a self-proclaimed nickname that didn't stick as well as Krazee). Memories and time shared at that cabin were special, it brought friends and families together. Steven got the news that he was going to be a grandfather there, we've never seen steven glow the way he did finding out that news on a cold November morning, Even Happier to find out his grandson was going to share his Middle name Noah "Allen" Holmes. (Speaking of hunting) There weren't too many outdoor activities that Steven didn't love. He enjoyed Hunting and Golfing but most of all WALLEYE FISHING! he passed that love down to his son Eric. When Steven found out he was going to be a grandfather he did a happy dance and then commenced to spoiling his unborn grandson. For the little while he got to spend with his grandson, he made the best of it but showing him love and attention every chance he got.

Steven was an interesting person, who holds a special place in so many people's hearts. he is loved and missed every single day.

He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bruce and David; and his parents, Wayne Holmes and Norma Holmes (Schiele). He is survived by: his wife Shelly Ellis of Parshall; his son Eric (Allie) of Dickinson; his grandson Noah of Dickinson; and his sister Nancy Holmes of Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
