Life story

Todd Floyd Yeates, 25, of Quincy, Washington, passed away November 30, 2013. Born March 11, 1988 in Quincy, Washington, the son of Carl Eugene and Mickie Lynne Yeates. He married Shaelynn Allen on October 29, 2011 in the Mount Timpanogas LDS Temple. They have been living in Highland, Utah while his wife Shaelynn, was finishing her student teaching.

Todd’s infectious personality affected all those he met. He loved to be around others and could make any stranger into a friend. His nieces, nephews, and young cousins adored his loving spirit. He also had a great love of the outdoors, working on the farm, and had a special bond with animals. In quiet moments, he loved to read. While in high school, he earned his Eagle Scout award and participated in FFA. When not spending time with his family and friends, Todd enjoyed all sports, wrestling in particular and was a district champion and went to the state wrestling tournament. Todd graduated from Quincy High School in 2006. Following graduation he served a two year LDS mission to Edinburgh, Scotland. He graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in July 2013.

Survivors include his wife, Shaelynn; his parents Carl and Mickie; his parents-in-law, Mark and Anita Allen and family;

his siblings: Bart (Kellie), Tanya (Jarod), Scott (Kylie), Tiffany, Brett, and 6 nieces and nephews, Jackson, Carter and Owen Yeates, Belle and Clara Rollins, and Emma Yeates. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Floyd and Maxine Winder and Evert and Marybelle Yeates, and niece Hope Rollins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Quincy LDS Chapel, 1102 2nd Ave SE, Quincy, WA.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday prior to the services at the church.
