Yesenia Rosas
My biggest hope is that I get to see you again one day. Not in a dream, not as a sign, but as you. Whole and complete. I hope I get to hug you and it feels like no time has passed at all. Until then, I carry you with me through this life, trusting that a bond as deep as ours was never meant to end with goodbye Only with “I will see you later”
Yesenia was a sweet soft spoken beautiful soul. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother. She fought a heroic battle against a merciless disease. She fought hard, seeking help, battling sobriety, experiencing pure light where she was the Yesenia we knew and loved. Yesenia had a sweetness to her with a heart of gold, but she was not simple, she was determined, emotional and caring, but sadly she was trapped by this disease that told her lies that it would make her feel safe, normal, and loved. In reality it was slowly stealing her sparkle, her smile, her humor and her warmth.
We will remember her for not how she died, but how she lived before she entered that dark world, and in the moments of recovery when she found our way back to us. Though the silence of not hearing her soft gentle voice is deafening, we know you are finally at peace. Forever loved! Forever missed!
