Life story

Ally died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, one day before her 24th birthday.

That morning she was taking Alex, Heather's fiancé, to work in Wales on her way to class at WCTC in Pewaukee. Unfortunately, they never made it. They both died in the car accident that morning. It has changed all of our lives forever.

Her headstone has many layers. The front has a quote of what she would say every time she left the house. In hindsight I'm glad for that, as we told each other we loved you all the time.

On the back are different pictures of her at various times in her short life.

The music is a couple measures of Ode to Joy. One of my favorite songs she played and practiced over and over.

The daisy was one of her favorite flowers and the hummingbirds represent her time with dad at our cottage in northern Wisconsin.

And finally, 'together forever KJG, MLH, APW' refers to her very best friends Kallie Gosh who died in a car accident in 2008, and Mike Harrison who died in 2011. She was devastated by these losses as were many people, and now they are together hanging out like usual.

Below is her obituary.

Alixandra Pauline Wagner, of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the age of 23. She was born on April 24, 1990, in Waukesha, the daughter of Robert and Shawn (nee Voigt) Wagner. She was a 2008 graduate of Waukesha West High School and attended UW-Waukesha, and most recently WCTC where she was studying nursing. She was currently working at CVS as a pharmacy technician. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and guitar. She loved to ski, snowboard and enjoyed her recent trip to Holland.

She will be sadly missed by her parents Robert and Shawn of Waukesha and sister Heather Thew of Waukesha. Beloved granddaughter of Dan and Karen Wagner of Waterford, Bob Wagner of Florida, Diann (Maynard Thorson) Voigt of Waukesha and the late Paul Voigt. Dear niece of Scott Voigt of Waukesha, Jeff (Dilek) Wagner of Eagle, John Wagner of Franklin, Jennifer (Jamie) Medina of Dousman and Shannon Voigt of Green Bay. She is further survived by great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives, local friends and friends from Europe including foreign exchange students, Maud and Béné.

Sisters forever ♾️

It’s difficult to put into words what this day means and how much it’s affected every single person that loves you. Every year I try to write about it and I get stuck every time. All I can really say is, I love you. I love you. I love you. I miss you. I miss you. I miss you. I so badly wish this wasn’t a reality. “Death leaves a pain that nobody can heal.. but the love leaves a memory that nobody can steal”

Missing you

As time goes by without you and the days run into years. They hold a thousand memories and a thousand silent tears. Remembering you is easy we do it every day. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away.
